Hello Everyone! My name is Cortland J. Meader. I am the NC 5th District Congressional Candidate running in the Republican primary against Virginia Foxx in 2018. If you’ve arrived here at my website, Thank You, and nice to have you here! All are welcome, and as you will see, my political stance is absolutely geared towards the well-being of all citizens of the USA, and will affect greatly constituents of the 5th District of North Carolina.

Presently I am a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist in Winston-Salem and licensed in the state of North Carolina. I also teach Neuro Interventional Radiology, Vascular Radiology Procedures and Radiological Physics at a local college.

Prior to returning to school for my medical education I was an Unlimited Licensed General Contractor in the State of North Carolina and an Architectural Designer of homes. I designed and constructed the homes I was contracted to build.

My first career was a family business which we built from the ground up. I was the Vice President of “The Wildlife Company” retail stores which was an animal and nature oriented gift, art and educational store that we owned during the 1990’s and early millennium. We built the company up from one store in a strip mall to 8 stores in four states and 65 employees.

I have a wide and varied career history with three very important careers in which I learned many things about business, economics, growth, management, design, construction, medicine and much more. I have experience building million dollar businesses from the ground up. I have a great deal of experience building businesses and organizations, period.

My past volunteerism and charitable contributions include almost 12 years as a lead volunteer at Crisis Control Ministry in W-S, Kiwanis Club, Men’s Fellowship at Cornerstone Christian Church, and many fundraising venues to preserve and protect endangered species of Animals. I was Secretary of the Year for Stratford Kiwanis Club and I received the James. B. Hunt Governor’s Award for volunteering.
